Darkly Brewed Comedy. Unforgettable Stories.
Theatre, monologues, and books with bite. Satire meets storytelling, with a twist.
Welcome to Aardvark Soup
Welcome to Aardvark Soup, the creative home of writer and satirist Mark Coltman. This is where theatre meets satire, business gets a bloody nose, and a chicken might just steal the show.
We make things that bite a bit. From full-length plays and performance-ready monologues to satirical books and stories for screen, everything we do here is brewed with bold characters, sharp humour, and an eye for the absurdities of modern life.

Our Creative Journey
Aardvark Soup was born out of a simple idea. Tell the stories we want to tell, the way we want to tell them. We’re passionate about original voices, sharp wit, and the kind of storytelling that can make you laugh one minute and catch your breath the next.
We create scripts, books, and monologues that blend dark comedy, character-driven drama, and a touch of the absurd. Whether it’s a full-length stage play, a satirical business book, or a theatrical monologue for performers, everything we make shares the same DNA: honesty, humour, and heart.
We believe there’s still room for work that doesn’t fit neatly into a box, work that's fearless, unexpected, and deeply human. Aardvark Soup exists for the misfits, the late bloomers, the underestimated. The ones who know that sometimes the best stories are the ones nobody asked for, but everyone needed.
We're just getting started. Thanks for being part of the journey.

Theatre Plays

Aardvark Soup specialises in plays that combine humour, truth, and just a dash of chaos. Whether you're a fringe theatre, amateur company, or professional, these plays are designed to be performed, provoke discussion, and leave an impression..

Monologues
From a teenage girl convinced she’s best mates with Benedict Cumberbatch to a middle-aged Health & Safety officer nursing silent grief behind laminated forms, these monologues offer performers rich, complex characters in standalone, audition-ready pieces.
Satirical, sharp-edged, and occasionally savage these books are designed to entertain and disrupt. From business parody to meditative chaos, these are guides for the slightly unhinged.
